New Delhi/IBNS: Amid the lifting of anti-COVID-19 restrictions in Maharashtra and West Bengal, Delhi is mulling over doing away with the fine for not wearing masks at public places, reports said.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), however, is likely to advise people to wear masks at crowded places.
Currently, a person is fined Rs. 550 for not wearing masks at public places.
Earlier, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced the lifting of all anti-COVID-19 restrictions from the state.
West Bengal has lifted all restrictions except the wearing of masks and other health protocols.
