Sources in J J Hospital told UNI that Malik was brought to the hospital for a routine medical check up but during examination his pulse rate was found to be high and the blood pressure was also not normal hence he was advised to be admitted in the hospital by the doctors.

A heavy police bandoobast was deployed inside and out side the hospital. Malik who was arrested on February 23 was remanded to ED custody till March 3, by a PMLA court here in connection with Dawood Ibrahim's money laundering case.

Sources, in the ED had said that Malik is not cooperating during the questioning.
