PM Modi pays homage to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary

New Delhi/IBNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday paid homage to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary.

In his message, PM Modi wrote: "I bow to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his Jayanti. Every Indian is proud of his monumental contribution to our nation."

Earlier, the Prime Minister had announced that a grand statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose will be installed at India Gate.

Till the grand statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose is completed, the Prime Minister will unveil his Hologram statue on his birth anniversary.

"At a time when the entire nation is marking the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, I am glad to share that his grand statue, made of granite, will be installed at India Gate. This would be a symbol of India’s indebtedness to him," Modi said."

"Till the grand statue of Netaji Bose is completed, a hologram statue of his would be present at the same place. I will unveil the hologram statue on 23rd January, Netaji’s birth anniversary," he said.

During the ceremony, the Prime Minister will also confer the Subhas Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskars, for the years 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. A total of seven awards will be presented during the ceremony.
