New Delhi/IBNS: The Delhi government has recommended the lifting of weekend curfew in view of the declining COVID-19 cases in the national capital, media reports said.

The government has forwarded the recommendation to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal for his approval.

The curfew begins at 10 pm on Fridays and ends at 5 am on Mondays.

Shops and commercial establishments, which were earlier allowed to open on alternate days, can now operate on all days.

In a drop of 10 percent of cases in the last 24 hours, the national capital on Thursday reported 12,306 new infections.
