Nora Fatehi to appear as ED witness against Sukesh Chandrasekhar in 200-cr extortion case

New Delhi/IBNS: Bollywood actress-dancer Nora Fatehi will turn up as the prosecution's witness against conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar in a 200-crore extortion case, which is being probed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), media reports said.

Besides Fatehi, another Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been named in the case in which Chandrasekhar is the prime accused.

Both Fatehi and Jacqueline have been questioned by the ED several times.

While the ED suspects Fatehi was gifted a luxurious car by Chandrasekhar, the actress said it was gifted to her by the conman.

She was given an expensive bag and an iPhone as a "token of love" by Chandrasekhar's wife, Fatehi claimed.

"Nora Fatehi has been the victim around the case and being a witness, she is co-operating and helping the officers in the investigation. We would like to make it very clear that she has not been a part of any money laundering activity, she does not know or have any personal connection with the accused and has been called by the ED to strictly help with the investigation," a statement issued on behalf of Fatehi reads as quoted by India Today.

Chandrasekhar, a millionaire conman, has extorted hundreds of crores of rupees from various celebrities including Fatehi and Fernandez, politicians and business people.

Posing as an influential person, he has even extorted money from jailed former Ranbaxy owner Shivendra Singh's wife on the pretext of helping her husband get out of jail.
