Amit Shah to address Parliament on Nagaland violence today

| @indiablooms | Dec 06, 2021, at 05:04 pm

New Delhi/IBNS: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will speak on the Nagaland violence in both the houses of Parliament on Monday, media reports said.

Shah will address the Lok Sabha at 3 pm and Rajya Sabha at 4 pm.

Thirteen villagers and a soldier were killed on Sunday after a counter-insurgency operation in Nagaland's Mon district backfired.

As per reports, the Army had fired blankly leaving the villagers killed in the Indo-Myanmar border district.

The state police alleged in its First Information Report (FIR) as quoted by NDTV, "It is to be noted that at the time of incident there was no police guide nor security forces did make requisition to police station to provide police guide for their operation.

"Hence it is obvious that the intention of security forces is to murder and injure civilians."
