New Delhi/UNI: The Congress Friday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over one billion or 100 crore COVID-19 vaccination coverage in the country and said the credit should go to doctors and nurses for this achievement.

“Modi ji, hundred crores #Covid Vaccines have been done, the credit of which goes to the doctor-nurse,” Congress General Secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala, said on Twitter.''

The Congress leader also posed some questions on his Twitter account regarding the vaccination coverage.

“But 62 crores do not have a single vaccine, Also tell why not a single vaccine for 32 crore adults?

When will 300 million (under 18 years) children and youth get vaccinated? 42 crore adults got only one vaccine, when will the second one come?”

The Prime Minister Friday during his address to the nation attacked the opposition and said, many questions were raised about India's capabilities in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic but today these 100 crore vaccine doses is an answer to those questions.

“Will the people of India get the vaccine or not? Will India be able to vaccinate enough people to stop the pandemic from spreading? There were various questions, but today this 100 crore vaccine dose is answering every question” the PM said.

On Thursday, India in its major battle against COVID-19 vaccinated over 100 crore people in the country.

Almost 75 percent of the eligible population has taken at least the first dose whereas eight states and UTs achieved 100 percent coverage of the first dose.
