Cong manifesto promises reforms in power, water

New Delhi, Jan 23 (IBNS) The Congress on Friday released the party manifesto for Delhi Assembly elections making promise to reform the power and water sectors.

In a counter to the promises of the BJP and AAP on power tariff, the Congress promised to provide power at Rs. 1.50 per unit and reduce the domestic bills to half.

The manifesto also promised  women's security, waive inflated water bills and increase in the old age pension to Rs. 2000 are among other promises.

 "We are only making promises that can be fulfilled.The manifesto answers not just what but also how," Congress' Election Campaign Committee chief  Ajay Maken said while releasing the first part of the vision document.
 
Promises have also been made on extension of Delhi Metro, improvement of infrastructure and  cleanliness of the Yamuna. 
 
The Delhi Assembly elections will be held on February 7.
