NSA largely abused by BJP govt: Goa leader Vijay Sardesai

India Blooms News Service | @indiablooms | 21 Jun 2021, 11:27 am

Panaji/UNI: Goa Forward Party (GFP) president Vijay Sardesai on Monday alleged that the National Security Act (NSA) is largely abused by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government and said his party would not budge to such tactics.

In a tweet, he said, "NSA act is largely abused by the BJP Government. Specially when elections are nearing to suppress the voice of the people. In Goa @BJP4Goa is facing brunt for the mismanagement by @DrPramodPSawant from cyclone to covid 19 handling. @Goaforwardparty won’t budge to such tactics."

The Pramod Sawant government has imposed NSA in South Goa district for a period of three months. But the move has led to criticism by the opposition which has claimed that it had been done to suppress the voice of the people.

However, the government has defended the move saying it was a routing affair.
