Goa govt extends anti-Covid curfew till May 31

Panaji/UNI: The Goa government on Friday announced to extend the ongoing curfew in the state to May 31.

Addressing a press conference at State Secretariat, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said, "We are extending state curfew to May 31. Norms will continue as they were."

The decision was announced after a meeting of the state cabinet.

In view of the surge in Covid 19 cases, the Goa government on May 7, announced a state-level curfew from May 9 to May 23.

Stores selling essential items, grocery shops, liquor stores have been allowed to stay open from 7 AM to 1 PM during the period of the curfew.

Medical stores and restaurant kitchens have been allowed to function from 7 AM to 7 PM during this period.
