Gosaba/UNI: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said Mamata Banerjee cannot stop BJP from embarking on development in Bengal.

Addressing a huge public meeting here, Shah accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee of swindling the money the Centre had allocated to the state for Amphan relief.

"The Centre sent Rs 10,000 crore but none of you got it," Shah told the crowd here.

Additionally, he mentioned the Rs 6500 crore package will be created for rehabilitation work in cyclone-hit areas, while also stating, "We will form an SIT and send the culprits to jail."

He also alleged the West Bengal C.M to have done massive injustice to the Sundarban region. as he announced that Sunderbans will be a new district after BJP comes to power.

He said, "Modi Ji has devised 115 policies for the upliftment of the poor."

”Do you want to make 'bhatija' the chief minister of Bengal?” the Union Home Minister questioned.

"We will be instituting Tagore prize on the line of Nobel Prize and Satyajit Ray Award on the line of Oscars to pay tribute to the two sons of Bengal,” the Union Minister said, while remembering the sacrifice of freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Lala Lajpat Rai.

'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram' slogans were heard at the rally's closure. Meanwhile, BJP announced 11 more candidates for West Bengal assembly polls and changed nominees in two seats.
