Assam: NDFB used car, vehicle recovered

Guwahati, Dec 28 (IBNS) : The Security forces on Sunday recovered eight motorcycles and a car, which were used by the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Sangbijit) , in a camp and arrested at least four miscreants who tried to set ablaze a tribal village in BTAD area in Assam, police said.

Assam police IGP Dr LR Bisnoi said that security forces recovered eight motorcycles and a car from a camp of NDFB( S), which were used by the militants from Khausi Bazar area near Serfanguri in Kokrajhar district along Bhutan border on Sunday evening.

The Police also arrested at least four miscreants from Daumaguri area who tried to set ablaze a tribal village.

The Police resorted to lathi charge and firing to control the situation.

"A group of miscreants  had entered the remote village and tried to set ablaze houses, " the top police official said.

On other hand, a high-level security meeting was held at the head quarter of the Assam police in Guwahati on Sunday.
