Kashmir: Man injured in grenade blast dies of heart attack in Pulwama

Srinagar/UNI: A 70-year-old man, who was injured in a grenade blast on Saturday, in Pulwama district of south Kashmir died on Monday, official sources said here.

However, police said the deceased was discharged from the hospital immediately after receiving minor injuries in the blast and has died due to heart attack.

Mohammad Abdullah Gujjar was among eight persons, including three women, who got injured in a militant grenade attack on a security force vehicle at Tral bus stand in Pulwama on January 2.

However, the injured were rushed to hospital, where their condition was stated to be stable.

Police said Gujjar, who had received minor injuries on his leg, was discharged from the hospital after first aid.

However, Gujjar died, reportedly due to heart attack, police said and termed the social media reports that he died due to blast as baseless and incorrect.
