Patna/UNI: Amid reports of six MLAs of Janata Dal (United) joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday termed the claims that JD(U) MLAs remained in contact with the RJD as baseless.

While talking to media persons after an official program, Kumar said that any claim in this context was baseless and has no ground.

Earlier former Bihar Minister Shyam Rajak who recently joined RJD after resigning from JD(U) claimed that 17 MLAs of Kumar's party were in contact with RJD.

Rajak said that the RJD does not want to violate the anti-defection law and has apprised the JD(U) MLAs, ready to quit their party and join RJD, that they will be most welcomed.
