"In view of rising Covid-19 cases and keeping students' health in mind, the state government has taken a decision to close all government and private schools for all including teachers till November 30," an order issued by the state Health Department read in Hindi.

As per the order, in the next 10 days, all schools will be sanitised and if any laxity is found, the school principal and officials will be held responsible.

The order comes against the backdrop of over 150 students from three districts in Haryana testing positive for coronavirus.

As per an official, among the infected, 91 students belonged to 13 schools in Rewari district, followed by 30 students and 10 teachers in Jind and 34 students and two teachers from Jhajjar district.

The health conditions of all the injected students and teachers is stable, the official added.
