Arjun Rampal arrives at NCB office for questioning in connection with drug probe

Mumbai/IBNS: Actor Arjun Rampal will be questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday in connection with a drug case involving several top Bollywood personalities that emerged the widening probe in actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death, media reports said.

According to media reports, he arrived at the NCB office at around 11 am for questioning.

Rampal's home was searched on Monday after which summons were issued and his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades was questioned for six hours each on Wednesday and Thursday, the reports further said, adding that her brother Agisialos Demetriades has been arrested twice in connection with alleged drug links.

The probe agency also arrested an Australian architect Paul Bartel, whose name was divulged by Agisialos Demetriades, who is a South African citizen, said the report.

Bartel was arrested in Mumbai and will be produced in court on Friday.

Film producer Firoz Nadiadwala's wife Shabana Saeed was arrested on Monday after sleuths allegedly recovered 10 grams of marijuana at Nadiadwala residence in Mumbai's Juhu during a raid, said media reports, adding that the probe agency arrested drug peddler Wahid Abdul Kadir Shaikh in Andheri some days ago.

The NCB said Saeed's name emerged while tracking Shaikh's clients. She was released on bail on Tuesday.

Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Rakulpreet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor have been interrogated by NCB in the past two months.
