Maharashtra: Bursting of firecrackers banned in Mumbai
Mumbai/UNI: Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday issued an order banning bursting of firecrackers in Mumbai on the occasion of Diwali.
As per the order, a ban has been imposed at all private and public places in the BMC's jurisdiction.
However, lighting of 'Phooljhali' and 'Anaar' (sparkler and flower pots) have been allowed but only inside the private societies or housing complexes.
