Kashmir: Two CRPF jawans injured in militant attack in Pulwama

Srinagar/UNI: Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were injured when militants attacked a naka party in south Kashmir district of Pulwama on Srinagar-Shopian road on Monday, official sources said.

They said militants attacked a joint naka party of CRPF and Police at Gangoo crossing on Srinagar-Shopian road today from nearby orchards.

Two CRPF personnel were injured and they were shifted to District Hospital Pulwama.

The injured were later referred to 92 Base hospital, Srinagar.

Additional security forces were immediately rushed and the entire orchard was cordoned off and a massive Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) was launched, they said, adding that further details are awaited.

Traffic on the Srinagar-Shopian road via Pulwama was disrupted for some time due to firing.
