Ranchi/UNI: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha supremo Shibu Soren has tested negative for Coronavirus after which he was discharged on Sunday from the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram.

His other health related issues are also under control therefore he was allowed to go home from the hospital. But the former chief minister would remain in New Delhi for some time and would return back to Ranchi at a later stage.

After being tested positive for Covid-19, Guruji was admitted at Medanta Hospital on August 26. He was taken to New Delhi on August 25 in a special coach which was attached to Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express at Bokaro Steel City Railway Station.

Earlier it was planned to take Shibu Soren in an air ambulance to New Delhi but as his oxygen level was less the doctors advised him against air travel after which his son and sitting Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren spoke to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal and got a special coach attached to the train and saw off his father himself from the railway station.
