CBI summons two Mumbai Police officers in Sushant's death probe
Mumbai/IBNS: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has summoned two Mumbai Police officers in connection with the probe into the death of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The officers have been summoned to appear in the guest house where the CBI team is questioning people related to the case.
According to reports, one of the police officers is in the hospital while the other one is under home quarantine after being affected with coronavirus.
The CBI has asked the officers to bring the documents associated with the case.
The CBI began its probe into Sushant's death last week by questioning the Bollywood star's staff member and meeting the Mumbai cops.
Besides questioning the staff member, the probe team has collected the case records including the post-mortem report of the actor from Mumbai Police.
Sushant's cook was also questioned by the probe agency.
Sushant, who was born in Bihar, had committed suicide at his own flat in Mumbai's Bandra on Jun 14.
Though the Mumbai Police were probing into the suicide, Sushant's father KK Singh lodged a First Information Report (FIR) with Bihar Police alleging that Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty had siphoned off Rs 15 crore from his son's account and other accounts of companies floated with his investments.
As per the recommendation by the Bihar government, the death case was handed over to the CBI by the central government.
However, the central probe agency has not yet summoned Rhea Chakraborty.
