Jharkhand: Encounter between police and TPC in Palamu, arms recovered

Daltonganj/UNI: An encounter took place on Wednesday morning between the security personnel and ultras belonging to the Tritiya Prastuti Committee in Kedal area falling under Manatu police station of the Palamu district.

Police said that the encounter spot is located between the bordering areas of Palamu and Chatra district. Police claimed that the ultras managed to take advantage of the Jungle terrain and managed to flee from the spot.

From the spot, an Insas, a carbine and a rifle has been recovered,. Palamu SP Ajay Linda confirmer the incident.

Police sources on their part claimed that a tip off had been received regarding the gathering of the TPC ultras after which a team comprising jawans of district police and Jharkhand Jaguar reached on the spot.

As soon as the ultras saw the police they opened fire which was retaliated back. After realising that they were being cornered the ultras fled from the spot sources said adding that it is being suspected that the encounter took place with ultras belonging to TPC squad led by Sashikant.
