Patna/UNI: The cheerful and vibrant atmosphere at young Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput's home in Patna suddenly turned grim after the shocking news of his suicide surfaced.

A pall of gloom descended at Rajiv Nagar where his father K.K.Singh lives.

Every one was left shell-shocked as people came to terms with the heartbreaking news of the death of the 34-year-old actor.

K.K.Singh has since been in deep shock. Sushant was his only son.

A native of Bihar, Sushant had done his schooling from St. Karen's High School in Patna.

Sushant originally belonged to Purnea in North Bihar and his maternal grand parents were from Khagaria.

Because of his busy schedule he could not visit Bihar regularly but was in close contact with his family members and his friends.

At his Patna residence, his friends shared their childhood memories they cherished with him while playing various games, including cricket.

Sushant was also the only brother to his four sisters.

One of his sister Meetu Singh is a state level cricket player.

A report from Jamui said that one of the elder sisters of Sushant has left for Mumbai to bring his body to Patna for his last rites.

She is married to Additional Director General of Police Om Prakash Singh posted in Haryana, and originally belonging to Numar village under Barhar block of Jamui district in Bihar.

Sushant was very close to his mother who expired in 2002.

He was shaken by the death of his mother and always reminisced her fond memories.

His last post on Instagram was dedicated to his mother where he wrote "Blurred past evaporating from teardrops, unending dreams carving an arc of smile And a fleeting life, negotiating between the two."

Sushant had visited Bihar last year after a gap of 17 years for his Mundan (Head Tonsuring ) to fulfill his mother's wish who had pledged for it.

During his Bihar tour, Sushant had visited his maternal grandparent's home in Khagaria, his paternal house in Purnia and one of his cousin Neeraj Kumar Bablu and MLA from Chhatarpur of Supaul in Saharsa.

While on the tour, Sushant had played cricket with local boys and had joyride in a boat in river Kosi.

Meanwhile, Bihar Governor Phaagu Chauhan, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Thakur, Congress MLC Premchand Mishra and several others expressed their deep shock over the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput.
