Maharashtra: Thirty new corona cases found in Nashik

Nashik/UNI: Thirty new corona cases were found in Nashik on Tuesday, taking the tally of positive patients in the district to 830. Of them, 29 were from Malegaon and one from Wadalagaon near Nashik city.

The identification of the corona patient in Wadala village this afternoon has added to the worries of the city dwellers.

In Malegaon, the patients were found this morning in Dhyane Autostop, Shriram Nagar, Samata Nagar, Pimpleshwar, Sawta Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Mahatma Phule Market, Sir Syed Nagar, Sumer Nagar and Hinglay Nagar areas.

The detection of fresh cases in Malegaon has become a cause of concern for the administration, especially a day after about 43 patients were discharged from the hospital as Corona free, sources said.

Of total 209 swab samples examined from Malegaon this morning. 29 were found to be corona positive, while 179 others as negative.

Among the 29 patients, there are some minor children aged 3 and 4 years.

Meanwhile, 43 people were released from the hospital in a day today, bringing the number of corona free patients in the district to 591.

Interestingly, of total recovered cases, the highest of 469 are from Malegaon.

Now, there are 209 active cases in the district, sources added.
