Jharkhand police register 997 FIRs, arrest 2057 for lockdown violation

Ranchi/UNI: The Jharkhand Police have so far registered 997 FIRs and arrested 2057 culprits for lockdown violation.

As per the data provided by the state police headquarters till Tuesday 997 FIRs have been registered in the state against 4318 accused for lockdown violation in which 2057 culprits have been arrested.

Maximum number of FIRs has been registered at Ranchi at 176, followed by Palamu 110.

However, the maximum number of people arrested stood at 847 in Jamshedpur and 288 in Chaibasa.

For Hate crime and rumour mongering, a total of 110 FIRs have been registered across the state against 183 named accused out of which 94 have been arrested.

Maximum number of FIRs have been registered at Palamu district with numbers standing at 16 followed by Ranchi 12 and Dhanbad and Bokaro 9 each.

As far as arrests were concerned a maximum number of 10 culprits have been arrested in Latehar while in Palamu and Chatra 9 each and Dhanbad 8 culprits have been arrested.
