Delhi violence: Board exam postponed for Feb 28, 29

New Delhi/UNI: The CBSE on Thursday announced the postponement of Class X and XII Board exam paper for February 28 and 29 in schools of violence-hit northeast Delhi.

The Central Board of Secondary Education on the request of Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi and to avoid inconvenience to students, staffs and parents, has decided to postpone the Board examinations scheduled for February 28 and 29 in north east parts of Delhi, stated the CBSE circular issued by Secretary Anurag Tripathi.

The names of schools where board examinations have been cancelled is available on the CBSE website, it said.

"The Board will notify the new dates to the affected students later," it stated.

In rest of Delhi, the examination will be conducted as scheduled.

The circular also stated the all exams in all centers shall be held as scheduled from March 2 onwards.

The development comes against the backdrop of violent clashes in northeast Delhi between pro and anti-CAA protestors which has claimed more than 30 lives.
