Passenger from Myanmar suspected with COVID-19 infection lands at Gaya airport in Bihar

Gaya/UNI: A passenger from Myanmar suspected  to be infected  with COVID-19 or coronavirus was admitted at Anugrah Narayan Medical College Hospital (ANMCH) after he landed at the international airport of Gaya in Bihar.

ANMCH Superintendent Dr Vijay Krishana said here today that the case was detected when the passengers coming from foreign  countries were being examined for coronavirus infection at Gaya International airport.

During examination one of the passenger belonging to the two groups of 30 passengers traveling from Myanmar exhibited  some symptoms similar to that of coronavirus infection, he said.

The passenger was immediately sent to ANMCH where he was quarantined till  the arrival of his blood sample reports. His blood sample was sent to RMRI- Patna .

Earlier, one person was also admitted at the hospital suspected to be infected  with coronavirus.
