Combine annual training camp of NCC held in Assam's Jorhat

Guwahati/IBNS: Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) of 10 days duration for NCC cadets is underway at NCC Academy Garmur in Assam's Jorhat district.

CATC is an important part of collective training of NCC Cadets with a view to give them first-hand exposure to tough Camp life full of excitement and camaraderie.

Guwahati based Defence PRO said that this particular camp of around 350 Cadets of 51 Assam Air Technical Squadron aims to inculcate team spirit, discipline and self-dependence in the young Cadets.

Opening address of the CATC was delivered by Brig AK Borah, the Group Cdr, NCC  Group, Jorhat on Thursday in presence of Camp Commandant Col Somraj Gulia.

He laid down the aims of the NCC Camps, its importance in terms of collective training and inculcating virtues of discipline and initiative.

He elicited an enthusiastic response from Cadets when he briefly addressed them in Assamese in the end.

He took out time to informally interact with some of the Cadets and infuse them to put in their best to learn these basics which will shape them into a better human being.
