BJP scared of Hindu-Muslim unity: Akhilesh Yadav

India Blooms News Service | @indiablooms | 27 Dec 2019, 07:08 am

Lucknow/UNI: Launching a scathing attack on the ruling dispensation, national president of Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday said the BJP was scared of the Hindu-Muslim unity and therefore, has started a campaign to divide people on the religious lines, in the garb of CAA and NRC.

Addressing party workers and members of Nishad Sangh here, Yadav said the CAA and NRC are against the tenets of the Indian Constitution. BJP government has brought this draconian law to scare the innocent people in general and Muslims in particular, he alleged.

'The Samajwadi Party is with the people of the state and will fight injustice unleashed against them by the governments - both at the state and at the Centre,' said the former Chief Minister and exhorted the party workers to apprise people about the nefarious designs of BJP.

He also criticised the BJP government for issuing notices to innocent people on the name of damaging public property during the anti-CAA protest across the state.

'The government should instead compensate the loss of people whose property was damaged by police during riots,' he said.

Leader of Opposition in the Vidhan Parishad Ahmad Hasan and state president of the party Naresh Uttam also addressed the workers.

'We are ignorant about the immense possibilities of the present times, due to lack of information. This economic census will play a very important role in advancing concrete economic plans and programmes for the entrepreneurs, businessmen and youth,' said Yadav.

'The economic census would not only collect data, but also act as a pillar in advancing the state and the country's emergence as an economic superpower,' he added.
