Thane/UNI:  The body of a seven-year-old girl, who was missing since late Saturday night, was found in bushes at Karivali village in Bhiwandi town of the district by the police on Sunday.

The body was spotted this morning in the bushes at Subash Nagar locality just 100 metres away from her house, with her head smashed by a stone.

Upon getting the message, a police team rushed to the spot and sent the body to hospital for post-mortem, police said.

The girl went missing from her house late last night at around 2100 hours and her parents had carried out a frantic search for her.
