Maharashtra: Woman commits suicide with kid in Nashik

Nashik/UNI: A woman, along with her one-and-a-half-year kid, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her house at Mnikpunj village in Nandgaon taluka of the district on Tuesday.

Police said Gorakh Menghal registered a complaint with Nandgaon police that his wife Rahibai Menghal (23) murdered her kid by hanging him and later committed suicide herself in his house.

The incident came into light, when the Menghal returned from his duty and knocked the door, he did not get response.

He went to the house roof and removed the tiles, found that both were found hanging to house ceiling.

The reason of the crime is not known, police said.

A case was registered and further investigation was on, they added.
