BS Yediyurappa wows to provide good governance in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Nov 5 (UNI): Karnataka Chief minister B S Yediyurappa on Tuesday promised to provide a good governance to the people of the state and vowed to change the profile of the state in coming days.

Addressing a Press conference here today on the backdrop of completing 100 days in office, chief minister said that strengthening the healthcare system, irrigation, power and social upliftment of the downtrodden in the society are among the priority sector for him in the coming days.

Releasing a booklet "Nooru Dina Nooraru Saadhane" on the achievements in the last 100 days, Yediyurappa had claimed that all the departments in the state government were hard pressed towards implementation of various welfare activities.

Maintaining that the revenue collection was on satisfactory note he said that no developmental works were hurt due to paucity of funds.

Stating that the flood relief works and rehabilitation of those who were displaced due to rains havoc are most challenging task before the state government, chief minister said that "Central government had extended all help and joined hands with the state government."

Expressing a sigh of relief over the Indian government's decision not to sign the RCEP pact, he conveyed gratitude to prime minister Narendra Modi for protecting the interests of the farmers community.

Several ministers including the Deputy Chief minister Dr Ashwath Narayan, home minister Basavaraj Bommai, Rural Development minister K S Eshwarappa, Chief secretary Vijayabhadkar and others were also present on the occasion.
