
Jharkhand Assembly polls: Voting to take place in five phases from Nov 30, results on Dec 23
New Delhi/IBNS: Jharkhand will vote in five phases to elect a new Assembly from Nov 30, the Election Commission of India announced on Friday.
Counting of votes will take place on Dec 23.
This will be the next major Assembly poll in the state after the Maharashtra and Haryana elections whose results were declared last month.
Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora said while addressing a press conference: "Model Code of Conduct is in force in Jharkhand for the upcoming Assembly elections."
