UP police set up SIT to nab Hindutva leader Kamlesh Tiwari's murderers

Lucknow ,Oct 18 (UNI) On the direction from Chief minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Oradesh police has set up a Special investigation team (SIT) to probe into the gruesome killing of a Hindutva leader Kamlesh Tiwari in the state capital on Friday.

The SIT was constituted after CM sought report from the officials over the killing here tonight.

It will be head by Inspector General of Police (Lucknow zone) S K Bhagat while other two members are Dinesh Puri, SP Crime Lucknow and P K Mishra, Dy SP STF.

Earlier DGP OP Singh had claimed that the criminals would be nabbed within 48 hours as police has got enough evidences.

Kamlesh Tiwari, founder of Hindu Samaj Party was stabbed and shot dead by two criminals inside his house in Khurshidbagh area of the old city in Lucknow on Friday noon.
