Ayodhya dispute: Muslim side continue pleadings in Supreme Court

India Blooms News Service | @indiablooms | 04 Oct 2019, 01:55 pm

New Delhi, Oct 4 (UNI) The Muslim side on Friday submitted to a five-judge Constitution bench of the Supreme Court that attempts were made by Hindus to force the community to leave the disputed site at Ayodhya but were foiled.

'We knew travellers stories. We have a chabutra. There are different views on it," senior counsel Dr Rajeev Dhavan told the Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi-led bench, hearing a batch of appeals against the September 2010 Allahabad High Court trifurcation of the disputed 2.77 acres.

'Our pleadings are very simple. We don't know what happened before 1855 except accounts by travellers,' Dr Dhavan submitted.
