Indo-Japanese Association Kolkata organizes cross cultural function

Kolkata: The Indo -Japan Association Kolkata organised a cross-cultural function recently at the body building and yoga centre ,established by  Bayamacharya Bishnu Charan Ghosh who is brother of Paranhansa Yogananda and a relative of Rishi Aurobinda.

The function was attended by  Fujee from Japan, who is a student of  top yoga exponent Karuna Ghos and daughter of Bishnu Charan Ghosh,  Raj Kumar Das from West Bengal, who is working on Japanese Martial art, particularly Karate.

Impressed by the work of Das, Fujee presented him a  ‘certificate of honour’  which was handed over to Das by  Anjana Ghosh – wife of   Biswanath Ghosh and daughter in law of Mr. Bishnu Charan Ghosh. Anjana Ghosh  is now the director of this body building and Yoga centre. .

A spokesman of the Association informed that this function  was possible because of  inspiration received from the Japanese Consulate in Kolkata. Beside West Bengal based  Amar Chakrabarty of Rammohan Sammilani, Gganesh Ghosh, Tapas Karmakar  and  Karuna Ghosh’s daughter Dr. Anchita Ghosh and sons Mr. Bholanath Ghosh and Angshuman Ghosh, who are  in abroad, have helped to organise this function.

It was learnt at the function that Japanese Karatekas  are taking help of Yoga for their preparation for the 2020 Olympic Games to be held in Tokyo. The mascot and other memorabilas of  2020 Olympics were also displayed at the function.
