Assam Rifles troops apprehend five PREPAK militants in Nagaland

Guwahati, Aug 20 (IBNS): Security personnel apprehended five militants of Manipur based outfit PREPAK with arms in Nagaland’s Mon district on Monday.

According to the reports, the troops of Assam Rifles apprehended the militants while they entered into India from Myanmar by crossing the border at Chen Moho area in Mon district.

A top official of Assam Rifles said that, the militants had entered into India from Myanmar by crossing the international border and they were equipped with arms.

The Assam Rifles personnel had recovered one MQ Rifle along with sling, three MQ Rifle magazines, 98 rounds 7.62 mm bullets, two Lathode guns, one torch, one wallet and Rs 240 cash in possession from them.
