Lucknow, Aug 5 (UNI) The condition of the Unnao rape survivor and her lawyer continue to be critical but stable, doctors at King George Medical University hospital said here on Monday.

Medical bulletin issued by the KGMU by Dr Sandeep Tiwari said, 'There has been improvement in the health of the female patient. The male patient is breathing without ventilator support and is in deep coma" it said.

The girl is responding and was trying to understand the words. Efforts were on to remove her from the ventilator as the fever is also down but to control her BP, medicines are being administered.

The rape victim and her lawyer were critically injured in an accident in Rae Bareli on July 28 when their car hit a truck. In the accident, two aunts of the survivor were killed and CBI was investigating the case.
