PM Modi wishes people on the occasion of Rath Yatra

New Delhi, July 4 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished people on the occasion of Rath Yatra festival on Thursday.

Modi tweeted, "Best wishes to everyone on the special occasion of the Rath Yatra. We pray to Lord Jagannath and seek his blessings for the good health, happiness and prosperity of everyone. Jai Jagannath."

Rath Yatra is a Hindu chariot festival which witnesses public procession with deities of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Lord Subhadra.

The festival is widely prevalent in eastern India.

"Hashtag on the auspicious occasion of greetings to all Heartiest # RathYatra . Jai Jagannath Rath Yatra multitude, great pomp ... # Rath Yatra on the occasion of our warmest wishes to you all. Joy Jagannath," West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted.
