Chandrababu Naidu to meet Mayawati, Akhilesh to discuss post-poll scenario today

Lucknow, May 18(UNI): Telugu Desam Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will rush to Lucknow on Saturday to meet Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav over a possible tie-up and the emergence of Third front in the post-poll scenario.

Naidu, who is expected to reach here in the late afternoon at 3:45 pm, will meet both the leaders and leave for the National Capital at 7 pm hrs.

Before heading for Lucknow in a special aircraft, Naidu would be meeting Congress president Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi.

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister is making all-out efforts to unite all the Opposition parties ahead of the meeting of the grand alliance- after the results of the elections are declared on May 23.

UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi has called for an opposition leaders meeting on May 23 to discuss on the post- poll scenario and unity to form the government at the Centre.

Confirming Naidu's plans, SP sources here said the Andhra CM would be meeting Akhilesh Yadav at the SP headquarters at around 4:30 pm. Thereafter, both the leaders would and meet Mayawati at her residence at 5:30 pm.
