Kolhapur, May 15 (UNI): The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) students wing members here on Wednesday reportedly beat up an 18-year-old for allegedly posting lewd comments on a Facebook video of NCP supremo Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule.

The teenager, identified as Akshay Popat Tambevekar, is a resident of Chavre village in Panhala tehsil of this district. He purportedly posted lewd comments on the TV9 Facebook Page, where the news channel had posted a clip of an interaction with Supriya Sule on EVMs.

The NCP students wing district president Kalpesh Chaugule, along with other party members, went to Akshay's residence and thrashed him in full view of his parents.

The NCP members didn't file a police complaint against the boy considering his young age and left him with the warning to not repeat his "mistake".

Other NCP leaders who were present with Chaugule were district youth wing vice-president Santosh Vader, youth wing president (Panhala tehsil) Ajit More, Raviraj Sanule, Arjun Jadhav, Namdev Patil, and Satyajeet Hujare.
