AAP extends support to Shatrughan Sinha and Misa Bharti

Patna, May 14 (UNI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today announced its support to Congress candidate from Patna Sahib Shatrughan Sinha and RJD candidate from Patliputra Lok Sabha seats where polling would be held during 7th phase of Lok Sabha elections on May 19.

President of Bihar unit of AAP Shatrughan Sahu told media persons here that his party had decided to extend its support to Mr Sinha, candidate of Congress from Patna Sahib and Misa Bharti, RJD candidate from Patliputra seat, both constituents of Grand Alliance in Bihar. A decision to this effect was taken after consultation with party MP of Rajya Sabha, Sanjay Singh, in-charge of party affairs of Bihar, he added.

"AAP workers will carry out door-to-door campaign for Mr Sinha and Ms Bharti to ensure their impressive victories in Lok Sabha elections," Mr Sahu said, adding that AAP had taken decision to ensure crushing defeat to NDA candidates.

Meanwhile, Ms Poonam Sinha, wife of Congress candidate Mr Sinha carried out door-to-door campaign for him in Bhanwar Pokhara locality of Patna. Ms Sinha is an SP candidate from Lucknow seat against BJP candidate and union home minister Rajnath Singh, where polling was held earlier phase of Lok Sabha elections.
