Keonjhar, Apr 12 (UNI) BJP National President Amit Shah today appealed to the people to vote the BJP to power in odisha and assured to make the state number one in the country in five years.

Kicking off electioneering and addressing Bijay Sanklap Samabesh at the Keonjhar Medical College ground in this tribal dominated district,Mr.Shah lashed out at the BJD government led by Naveen Patnaik for encouraging the mining mafias and protecting those involved in the chit fund scam.

The BJP President said the BJD government during its 19 year rule has not given anything except scams and corruption to the state.

The Shah Commission in its report had clearly stated corruption in awarding of mining lease during 2005 to 2014,he said adding that though the bureaucrats were involved in the scam yet the Naveen Patnaik government did not initiate any action against them.

In the chit fund scam thousands of crores of rupees of poor depositors were duped by the chit fund companies but the Naveen Patnaik government instead of taking any action against the companies, tried to protect those involved in the scam.

He assured that all persons involved in the chit fund scam would arrested and sent to jail if the BJP voted to power in the state..

Shah said there is a Modi wave blowing across the country adding that from Kashmir to Kanyakumari everywhere people want to make Mr Narendra Modi the Prime Minister again.

The people of Odisha , he said had given Congress 40 years and the BJD 19 years to rule the state and both the governments had miserably failed to bring the desired development in the state.

The BJD government , Mr.Shah during its 19 year rule failed to eliminate poverty and unemployment.Thousands of youths are migrating to other states like Gujarat, Karnataka and Delhi in search of work.

He appealed the people to vote BJP to power in the state and assured that the people would no more go to other states for work if his party is voted to power.

Shah outlined the various developmental work under taken by the BJP government at the centre both for the state and also country.

The central government, he said has given Rs 1600 crore to the Keonjhar District Mineral fund for undertaking developmental works in the state.

The Keonjhar Medical College is constructed out of the DMF provided by the central government. but the state government has not given a ‘’charini’’ one fourth of a rupee for the medical College.

He also assured to set up a second medical college in Keonjhar and promised to waive the GST on Kendu leave if BJP voted to power.

Coming down heavily on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Mr Shah said the people should elect a Chief Minister who can speak in their language.

He regretted that though Patnaik is in power for 19 years yet he could not speak in Odia.
