Sambit Patra files nomination for Lok Sabha polls from Puri

Puri, Mar 29 (IBNS): Senior BJP leader Sambit Patra on Friday submitted his nomination papers for the Lok Sabha polls.

He is contesting the polls from the Puri seat this year.

After filing the nomination papers, Sambit tweeted: "Handing over the nomination papers for contesting the Loksabha elections from the Puri Constituency. @BJP4Odisha #SambitPatraNomination."

Puri is considered as a crucial Lok Sabha seat in East Indian state of Odisha.

Polling for the seven phase Lok Sabha elections will begin from Apr 11.

The final phase of voting will take place on May 19.

Counting of votes will take place on May 23.
