Lucknow, Mar 3 (IBNS): Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati on Sunday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said he is trying to hide his failures behind the tension and sad events happening in Jammu and Kashmir where 40 Indian paramilitary forces personnel were killed in a terror attack.

"For the past few days Jammu and Kashmir has remained tensed over recent terror attack and the nation has expressed its concern and sadness over the issue," Mayawati told reporters.

"The BJP and specially PM Modi is trying to hide his government's failures behind the events happening there," she said.

Mayawati has formed an alliance with the Samajwadi Party for the Lok Sabha polls.

The alliance is significant as SP and BSP are considered as major political rivals in Uttar Pradesh.
