Solan, Feb 17 (UNI) Kasauli court on Sunday remanded a Kashmiri student Tashin Gul, arrested on the charges of imputations and assertions prejudicial to national integration, to judicial custody till February 28.

Meanwhile, the police on Sunday also detained two other students namely Rahat and Irfan, resident of Kashmir who were staying with Tashin Gul in a rented accommodation for further questioning.

Notably, the Barotiwala police had Saturday night arrested Tashin Gul on the complaint of Dean of Chitkara University Kalu Jhanda- Baddi A.K. Chauhan after the accused student had commented on the facebook posts of terrorist outfit Adil, active in Jammu and Kashmir, concerning a post of Pulawama terror assault, this week.
Tashin Gul is a second year B. Tech student at Chitkara varsity and is son of a government teacher of Harman village of Kashmir valley.

Baddi Additional SP N.K. Sharma said Gul had allegedly written in his comment – “Allah Tala apko Salamat Rakhe” after the terrorist Adil Ahemad had posted some vital information concerning Pulwama terror attack on the facebook.

Similarly, the accused student had also commented on terrorist facebook post after the killing of Shakur Daar- “ "RIP Shakur- Allah Apki Shadat Kabul Kare—In the hearts of green birds… missing you bhai” on January 5, this year. All these comments written by the accused students were seen by some fellow students of the varsity who had immediately intimated the varsity authorities.

Currently, over half dozen Kashmiri students were studying in different courses in the varsity. A case has been registered under section 153 –B Indian Penal Code. Further investigations are in progress.
