Brown sugar worth Rs 60 lakh seized in Assam, 2 arrested
Guwahati, Jan 2 (IBNS): Security personnel seized brown sugar worth Rs 60 lakh and arrested two persons in Assam’s Karimganj district last night.
Based on intelligence inputs, Karimganj district police and BSF had jointly conducted the operation at Elongjuri area. The brown sugar was packed in 15 containers.
Security personnel have arrested two persons transporting the the narcotics from Mizoram.
The cops have also seized a vehicle.
