Gurugram, Sept 17 (IBNS): In a new development to the Haryana gang-rape case, police have said that the arrested main accused had called up a doctor when the victim's condition worsened while she was enduring the assault, media reports said.

Nishu Phogat, the main accused, called up one Dr Sanjeev when the former realised the worsening condition of the teenage girl (victim), according to police.

On Wednesday, a 19-year-old student, who had topped the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examination, was allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped by a group of men in Haryana.

The Special Investigation Team or SIT, which was formed to investigate the case, has arrested Phogat.

SIT chief Nazneen Bhasin told media that raids are being conducted to nab the other two accused persons.

The Haryana Police on Saturday released the photographs of three accused in the Rewari gang rape case of a CBSE school topper, media reports said.

The accused also includes an Army personnel.

The police has announced Rs 1 lakh reward for information on the accused.

The army soldier has been identified as Pankaj, posted in Rajasthan.

The other accused is Manish.
