Emergency period will be added in school textbooks: Javadekar

Jaipur, June 26 (IBNS): Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday said the emergency period should be added in the school textbooks.

He said the chapter will be added in school curriculum so that students could understand about the reality of the period.

Late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi has imposed the Emergency period between 1975-77.

"We want students to know about the correct history," Javadekartold media.

"Hence, we are planning to change the course curriculum in schools," he said.
