Rahul Gandhi thanks all for wishing him on birthday

New Delhi, Jun 19 (IBNS): Congress president Rahul Gandhi thanked all people for wishing him on his 48th birthday on Tuesday.

Rahul took to Twitter to say, "I am overwhelmed by the birthday wishes that I have received from all corners of our country & abroad. Your greetings, blessings & prayers are my strength. I want to thank each & every one of you for remembering me today. May God bless you all."

Several political leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished Rahul on Tuesday.

Wishing Rahul, Modi tweeted, "Birthday greetings to Congress President Shri @RahulGandhi. I pray for his long and healthy life."

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted, "Wishing you a very happy birthday, @RahulGandhi"

Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy said in a tweet, "Warm wishes and Happy Birthday to @INCIndia President @RahulGandhi ."

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former Bihar Deputy CM, Tejashwi Yadav, tweeted, "Wishing a very Happy Birthday to @RahulGandhi Ji. You have exhibited
remarkable vision and exemplary leadership. On your birthday, I wish you peace, good health, success and happiness. Congratulations and #HappyBirthdayRahulGandhi."

Rahul, who is the son of ex-PM late Rajiv Gandhi and former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, entered Indian politics in 2004.

He is an elected Member of Parliament (MP) from Uttar Pradesh's Amethi constituency.

Rahul took over as the Congress president in 2017.
