PM Modi, Amit Shah and others join the BJP day-long fast on Thursday

New Delhi, Apr 12 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his day-long fast against the Parliament logjam during the Budget session along with other Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday.

 BJP National President AmitShah participated from Dharwad in Karnataka as part of BJP's nationwide protest against divisive politics of Congress  to the cause, according to media reports.

In a press statement on Wednesday, the BJP said PM Modi will hold a day-long fast "to expose the Congress for its undemocratic style of functioning & pursuing divisive politics & anti-development agenda."

The BJP is holding the 'Loktantra bachao Upvaas and dharna' from 10 am to 5 pm on Thursday, with its leaders participating in the fast in different cities in the country.
